Polling

Polling means that you call another facsimile machine (we call it “polled machine") to retrieve a

document. Polling also lets you place documents in the unit that will be “retrieved" only at the

request of a calling machine. The receiving unit incurs any long distance telephone charges since

the polling unit initiates the call.

Setting the polling password

In order to prevent an unauthorized machine from retrieving a specific document such as of a

confidential nature, you can program a unique code (password) in your unit. If the passwords in the
polling unit and polled unit do not match, any transaction will not take place.

The polling using a password is effective only between Panasonic compatible facsimile machines

(e.g. KX-F50, KX-F90, KX-F110, KX-F220 and KX-F320).
