Attach the CAT-5
cable to one of the
open RS-485 ports
on the first CMRV.
Attach the next
CAT-5 cable to the
other open RS-485
port on the first
CMRV, and connect
the other end of the
cable to an open RS-
485 port on the
second CMRV.
Continue this "daisy
chain" process until the last CMRV has been connected.
NOTE Each additional CMRV should be connected to the previous CMRV in the
daisy-chain. Up to four CMRV units can be connected to a single com-
puter.
5. Set an Instrument Address for the each CMRV unit using the SE-
LECT dial near the RS-485 port on the CMRV chassis. The address
must be different than that of the first CMRV.
6. When all CMRV units have been connected, plug the converter
Controller into an appropriate electrical outlet to complete your
installation. Check connections by running a cleaning cycle on all
instruments per manual instructions.
