7.5.2 Pilot Regulator Pressure Calibration

The instructions in this section apply to both the Natural Gas and Propane gas trains.

If either the Natural Gas or Propane Pilot Regulator pressure is above 5.0”W.C. or below 4.0”
W.C., the Pilot Regulator pressure must be calibrated using the following procedure:

Pilot Regulator Pressure Calibration Procedure

1.

Ensure that gas supply shut-off valve upstream of the unit is still turned OFF.

2.

Turn OFF electrical power to the system.

3.

Remove the pipe plug from the 1/4” NPT port on the outlet side of the Pilot Regulator
(Figure 7-3) and insert a NPT-to-barbed adapter fitting.

4.

Attach one end of the plastic tubing to the barbed fitting and the other end to the 16” W.C.
manometer.

5.

Remove the cap from the Pilot pressure regulator and rotate the regulator adjustment
(beneath cap) clockwise (CW) to its highest possible pressure setting.

6.

OPEN the main gas supply upstream of the unit.
