Creating Or Editing A Document

To begin a new document file, position the cursor on NEWFILE.Por NEWFILE.N. If you

wish to edit an existing document, position the cursor on the file name of that document.

Now press the [RETURN] key, and the following display will appear

«UJFILE^N

REnHlr0 32-4K

If you chose to edit an existing file, the name of that file will appear in the top left comer

of the display, if not H-:HEUJF ILE will appear in the display. The memory indicator in the

top right comer of the display now shows the number of characters remaining in the

typewriter’s memory (not on the disk). The maximum number of characters you can have

in a single file is around 32400.

You may now begin typing.

Saving Your Document

When you have finished creating your document, you may wish to save it on disk.

So far you haven't got much of a document to save, but it's a good idea to learn how to

do it now.

To save your document:

I. Press the [FILE] key, and the following message will appear

R i N = l O bHUE? CGRRECT TO PBfiNDON

2. Press the [RETURN] key to confirm that you wish to save the document.

Attematively, you may decide that the document is not worth saving. For example, a short

note that you have printed and no longer need.
