the treadle meanwhile until the belt is released,
then turn the machine back on its hinges. Apply
one drop of oil at each of the places indicated by
arrows in Fig. 29.
Also lubricate each of the bearing points in the
stand.
Machine Working Heavily;
If the machine runs hard after standing idle for
some time, use a little kerosene in the oiling places,
run the machine rapidly, then wipe clean and oil.
To Clean the Stitch Forming Mechanism:
After considerable use, the stitch forming mechan
ism in the bed of the machine may become clogged
with lint and this may interfere with the perfect
operation of the machine.
