11.1 Video Storage Drives

Video Storage Drives are the main drives where video footage is stored. If a Video Storage Drive becomes full, VIGIL Server will
switch to the next Video Storage Drive for recording. Also, if all of the Video Storage Drives are offline, the Alternate Video Storage
Drives
will be used until they return online.

When adding or editing a video storage drive, the Media Control window is displayed.

Destination

Name

The name for the video storage location.

Media Type

The media type can be either a Local Drive on the
VIGIL Server System, or a Network Drive located on a
Virtual File Server (VFS) System.

Destination

Path

The hard drive and folder path to record video data
to.  When using a Network drive, this will change to
VFS Server name and path.

Alarm

Reserved

The amount of storage to be reserved for Alarm video
footage.

POS/ATM

Alarm

The amount of storage to be reserved for POS/ATM
Alarm video footage.
