Keypad: PROGRAM VERSION

Use this command to display the program version.

At PROGRAM VERSION, press ENTER. The program version information is displayed.

Keypad: PORT TEST

Use this command to verify that the serial ports on the Comm board are functioning properly.
Tests are available for Ports 1, 2, and 3 on a standalone TopKAT; ports 1 and 3.

Remove the connector from the port being tested.

Plug in the loopback jumper to port connector. Be sure K1 and K2 port jumpers are jumpered
correctly for the port.

Access the diagnostic menu as described previously.

At PORT TEST, press ENTER. Use the up or down arrow keys to select the required
communications port and press ENTER. The system responds...please wait, followed by
TEST PASSED or TEST FAILED.

Keypad: DATAKEY READ

Use this command to read and display the data from a key inserted into the receptacle.

At DATAKEY READ, press ENTER.
The system displays “INSERT KEY and Press ENTER (ESC to exit).”

Insert the key to be read and press ENTER to read, ESC to exit. If manager’s key was used to
access diagnostics, it must be re-inserted to exit this test. If no key is inserted for 30 seconds,
test is aborted.

The key data is displayed in the following format:

T=0 S=9999 K=00002

P=027753 L=027987

Where: T is the key type; S is the system ID number; K is the key number; P is the previous
odometer entry; L is the last odometer entry.

Type 0 or 2, encoded for a FleetKey system will work as an encoded vehicle key for TopKAT.

** Key types 1, 6, and 7 are invalid key types for a TopKAT system.
