fissures, lingual contours, refining margins.

6 Pyramid
Creating detailed anatomy such as pits, fissures, and other
detailed morphology.

Indication
Sculpting and contouring anatomy in direct placement, composite resin
restorations.

Use
NOTE – Brush NEW instruments with soapy water, rinse and dry.
Then, carry out a complete hygiene cycle (see “Disinfection, cleaning
and sterilization”).

Choose and attach the appropriate modelling tip to the instrument.

If you do not dispense the material directly from the capsule, use the end
with the metal spatula to place the material into the preparation. Use the
elastic modelling tips to adapt, contour and sculpt the material.

The different shapes can be used as follows:

Cylinder
The cylinder-shaped modelling tips are used for placing and levelling the
first increment in Class I and II cavities. They provide optimum adaptation to
the tooth structure.

Chisel
The chisel-shaped modelling tips can be used for Class V restorations, labial
and buccal surfaces as well as occlusal surfaces.

Spatula
Spatual-shaped modelling tips are particularly suitable for contouring the
labial surfaces of anterior restorations (Class III and IV) and Class V restora-
tions.

Sphere
Sphere-shaped modelling tips can be used to develop concavities on the
lingual surface of anterior restorations (Class III and IV)

Point
The pointed modelling tips have been designed for contouring and sculpting
the occlusal anatomy (Class I and II) as well as the lingual surfaces of ante-
rior restorations (Class III and IV).

Pyramid
It is recommended to use the pyramid-shaped tips to accentuate fissures
(Class I and II) and to create detailed morphology.

Disinfection, cleaning and sterilization
General notes:
Clean and disinfect every instrument before each use. It is strongly recom-
mended that the instruments are additionally sterilized in a steam sterilizer.
Do not use damaged instruments. Only suitably trained staff should carry
out repair and maintenance work.
