printer. A way to check is to force an
error condition at the printer (i.e. remove

line with power still applied). Send print
job to printer. If printer LED goes off, you
can conclude no handshaking was done.
Check pin 20 of peripheral to pin 5 of
Model 24SII DES and/or pin 11 on
parallel ports for continuity by using an
ohm meter to check resistance from end
to end.
HP LaserJet
gives "Error 40"
