Playback

Deleting text memos

1

Proceed with steps 1 to 4 in “Playback from
text memo positions,” and select the text
memos in the clips.

Move the cursor to the text memo to be
deleted, and press [STILL].

Press [MENU], and then select
“OPERATION” – “DELETE” using [STOP],
[PLAY] and [STILL].

Select “YES”, and press [STILL].
The text memo is now deleted.

Dividing and copying clips using text
memos

Proceed with steps 1 to 4 in “Playback from
text memo positions,” and select the text
memos in the clips.

Move the cursor to the text memo to be
copied, and press [STILL].
A multiple number of text memos can be
selected.

Press [MENU], and then select
“OPERATION” – “COPY” using [STOP],
[PLAY] and [STILL].

Using [FF] or [REW] and [STILL], select the
slot with the copy destination card, select
“YES”, and press [STILL].
Copying is now executed.

• The block between the selected text memo and

the next text memo is copied. If there is no text
memo to follow the selected text memo, the
selected block will be copied.

• While copying is underway, the progress made

in copying and cancel are displayed. To stop the
copying at any time, press [STILL]. The “YES/
NO” confirmation screen now appears. Using
[STOP] and [STILL], select “YES”.

Replacing thumbnail images

The thumbnail display images of the clips to which
text memos were added at the top of the LCD
monitor screen can be replaced with still images to
which the time stamps were added at the bottom
of the screen.

Proceed with steps 1 to 4 in “Playback from
text memo positions.”

Using [FF] or [REW], move the cursor to the
still image to which the time stamp number
has been added and whose thumbnail is
displayed, and press [MENU].

Using [STOP], [PLAY] and [STILL], select
“OPERATION” – “EXCH. THUMBNAIL”, and
press [STILL].

Select “YES”, and press [STILL].
The thumbnail display is replaced with the
selected still image.

• You can view the thumbnail change position

(number of frames from the start) using the clip
information display “THUMBNAIL” item (page
37). 0 is normally displayed for the thumbnail of
the start frame.

• Playback from a thumbnail begins from the start

of the clip even when the thumbnail has been
changed.
