Recording

Recording does not start.

• Is the unit’s power on?

• Has the battery reached the end of its service life? The battery may

have reached the end of its service life. Although the service life will
differ depending on how the battery has been used, if the battery
can be used only for short periods of time even after it has been
fully charged, it means that it has reached the end of its service life.

The P2 card has been
inserted properly, but
recording is not possible.

• Is the P2 card’s write-protect switch at the PROTECT

position?Images cannot be recorded while this switch is at the
PROTECT position.

• Does the P2 card have very little remaining memory?Either save

the data concerned on another media and delete the unnecessary
data on the P2 card concerned or replace the P2 card with a new
card.

• Has the P2 card been formatted properly?Does the card have a

format which cannot be used?Format the card using the unit.

• P2 cards with a memory size of 2GB cannot be used.

Editing

Data cannot be read on the
SD memory card.

• Has the SD memory card been formatted properly? Format the

card using the unit.

Non-linear editing is not
possible.

• Check the specifications of the cable used to connect the unit with

the computer.
