To discontinue all TrueCopy for Mainframe operations, perform the following actions in the following
order:

1.

First, release all TrueCopy for Mainframe pairs from the MCU(s). For TrueCopy for Mainframe
Asynchronous pairs, you can use the Group for Delete Range option to release all pairs in a
group using one operation. Verify that the pair status has changed to simplex for all TrueCopy
for Mainframe volumes before continuing.

2.

Delete the TrueCopy for Mainframe Asynchronous group(s) from the MCU(s). The RCU will
automatically delete a group when all pairs in the group have been released.

3.

Delete the RCUs. Check each CU of each MCU to make sure that all RCUs have been deleted
before continuing.

If system option mode 114 is enabled, you can use the CDELPATH TSO command to delete
the RCUs and automatically reset the ports.

4.

Remove the remote copy connections (physical paths). If you are not familiar with the operation
of the remote copy hardware components (for example, switches), call the HP technical support
for assistance.

5.

At the MCU(s), reset the HP disk array initiator port(s) to ordinary target(s). At the RCU(s),
reset the HP disk array RCU target port(s) to ordinary target(s).

If you used the CDELPATH TSO command to delete the RCUs, HP disk array automatically reset
each port after the last path to an RCU was deleted.

For Fibre Channel interface, do not use the CESTPATH and CDELPATH commands at the same
time as the SCSI path definition function of LUN Manager.
