Make sure that the problem is not the PC or LAN hardware
or software. Try restarting the PC and reconnecting to the
storage system.
There is a problem with the Remote Web Console or
TrueCopy for Mainframe software.
Check the path status (RCU Status dialog box) and see
Troubleshooting RCU Path Status Problems” (page 181)
The RCU path status is not normal.
Check the detailed pair status (Detailed Information dialog
box) and see

suspend types and corrective action for suspended
TrueCopy for Mainframe pairs.
The pair status is suspended.
Because the time setting of SVP is changed, the monitoring
data might not be updated. Set Monitoring Switch to
Disable, and set Monitoring Switch to Enable again. For
further information on Monitoring Switch, see the HP
StorageWorks XP24000/XP20000 Performance Monitor
User's Guide.
Although Monitoring Switch is set to Enable, the monitoring
data is not updated.

Make sure that the MCU and RCU are
correctly connected via cable.
Make sure that you entered the correct
RCU S/N and SSID and path
parameters (CU #, controller ID, port,
link address, logical address).
For Fibre Channel interface, make sure
that the Fibre Channel topology settings
of the MCU and RCU ports are correct.
The link initialization procedure to the
RCU failed.
Initialization Failed
Make sure that the RCU is powered on
and fully functional (NVS and cache
ON).
Make sure that the remote copy
connection hardware is properly
configured and functional, including
cables, connectors, ESCDs, repeaters,
extender devices, communication lines,
and all other devices connected to the
extenders.
Delete the failed path. You may need
to change the minimum paths setting or
delete the RCU in order to delete the
path. Then add the path/RCU using
Edit Path or Add RCU.
Communication between the MCU
and RCU timed out.
