5. Optionally, use the Global Settings controls to set global configuration parameters

for any new servers you add to the Server list.

6. To save the settings permanently, click Save.

To revert to the running configuration, click Reset.

Setting the
Admin User
Password

You change the HP EFS WAN Accelerator Manager administrator password in the
Authentication - Admin Password page.

During the initial setup of the HP EFS WAN Accelerator Manager you set the
administrator password. Modify your settings in the Admin Password page.

The administrator user has full privileges in the HP EFS WAN Accelerator Manager.
For example, as an administrator you can set and modify configuration settings, restart
the HP EFS WAN Accelerator service, reboot the appliance, and create and view
performance and system reports.

To change the
administrator
password

1. Click the Setup Manager tab to expand the Setup Manager menu.

2. Click Authentication in the left menu to expand the Authentication menu.

3. Click Admin Password to display the Authentication - Admin Password page.

Global Settings

(If you add a new server to your

settings are applied automatically.)

Server Key. Type the server key in the text box.

Timeout. Type the time-out period in the text box.

Retries. Type the number of times you want to allow the user to retry authentication in
the text box.

Update Settings. Click Update Settings to update your global

TACACS+

settings.
