5. Click Apply to Working to apply these settings to the specified working profile.

When you apply page settings, the values are applied to the running configuration
but not saved permanently. The Save Configuration icon displays a flashing
orange arrow to remind you to save your configuration.

6. To save the settings permanently, click Save.

To revert to the running configuration, click Reset.

Setting-Up Email
Notification

You set event and failure email notification parameters for a common profile in the
Profile - Notification page.

Warning Temperature Alarm

Raise Alarm When Temperature (°C) Reaches. Check this box to trigger the alarm
when the CPU temperature exceeds the rising threshold. When the temperature is
lowered to the reset threshold value, the alarm is cleared.

The default rising threshold value for CPU temperature is 70º C.

The warning temperature threshold must be lower than the critical temperature threshold.

Rising Threshold. Type a whole number to specify temperature (º C).

Reset Threshold. Type a whole number to specify temperature (º C).

Additional Alarms

Raise Alarm When Network Interface Duplex Errors are Detected. Check this box to
trigger a duplex interface alarm if the system has encountered a large number of packet
errors in your network.

Check the speed and duplex settings on the appliances on each side of your network.
Make sure the speed and duplex settings on your appliances match the settings on your
switch and router.

Raise Alarm When Extended Memory Paging Activity is Detected. Check this box to
trigger the memory paging alarm. If 100 pages are swapped every couple of hours, the
appliance is functioning properly. If thousands of pages are swapped every few minutes,
contact HP technical support.

Raise Alarm If a Software Version Mismatch is Detected in the Network. Check this
box to trigger an alarm if there is a mismatch between software versions in the HP
system.
