5. Set up a DNS server to map the host name hpwam to the IP address for the HP
EFS WAN Accelerator Manager.
6. Connect the remote HP EFS WAN Accelerator primary network interface to the
network and power it on.
When the HP EFS WAN Accelerator contacts the HP EFS WAN Accelerator
Manager, the HP EFS WAN Accelerator Manager will send the configuration to
the remote HP EFS WAN Accelerator, the appliance will be registered with the
HP EFS WAN Accelerator Manager, and the HP EFS WAN Accelerator Manager
will begin collecting performance metrics for the HP EFS WAN Accelerator.
If you install the HP EFS WAN Accelerators before you install the HP EFS WAN
Accelerator Manager:
1. Set up a DHCP server to assign IP addresses in your network.
2. Install the remote HP EFS WAN Accelerators.
3. Set up a DNS server to map the host name hpwam to the IP address for the HP
EFS WAN Accelerator Manager.
4. Install the HP EFS WAN Accelerator Manager.
When you view the HP EFS WAN Accelerator Manager, the HP EFS WAN
Accelerators in your system appear in the Registration page.
It might take as long as an hour for all appliances to appear in the Registration
page.
5. Create common profiles and appliance-specific profiles. For details, see

6. Create groups and assign appliances to the groups. Enable auto-configuration and
configuration push features. For details, see
7. If necessary, complete the registration entries for the remote appliances by
specifying:
the user name and password of the account through which the configuration
must be performed (only if other than the defaults: admin and password)
an initial group assignment (optional)
8. Complete appliance-specific profile configuration. For details, see

9. Review the appliance configuration, add additional CLI commands (if any), and
click Manually Send Confutation. For details, see
