Setting dial groups

Several abbreviated dial numbers can be assigned to one and the same dial group. This feature
is convenient when you often transmit the same information to many remote stations simulta-
neously and receive from them by sequential polling.

Up to 200 abbreviated dial numbers can be assigned to each dial group.

We describe the procedures of registering dial groups (assigning remote stations and group
name to each dial group), changing group dial registration, and deleting group dial registration.

Registering dial groups

The procedure for assigning remote stations to each dial group is described below.

The remote station can be assigned to a dial group only if it is first defined with an abbre-
viated dial number. Before attempting to assign the remote station to a dial group, be sure
to define it with an abbreviated dial number.
See "Setting abbreviated dial numbers" (p. 9-2) for registering abbreviated dial numbers.

The group dial list allows you to confirm the details of registration. To print the group dial
list, see "Group Dial List" (p. 11-28).

Up to 20 dial groups can be defined.

Each group can have a group name.

1.

Press [FAX] to display the FAX Basic screen if it is not
already displayed.

2.

3.
