In cases where the LED indicator light is blinking multiple times with a pattern and there is no
data being transmitted from the receiver, but the display is powered and has initialized, check the
blink code table below for reference:

Note: Flash patterns will have periods of 0.3 second on and 0.3 second off repeating every 6
seconds. The number of high pulses in each 6–second window will be determined by a code. For
example if the flash code is 2, the pattern will be 0.3 second on, 0.3 second off, 0.3 second on,
5.1 seconds off and then repeated.

8.3 SMARTIRE

SYSTEM Q&A

8.3.1 Q: Several tires on the rear axle(s) are reporting sensor diagnostic trouble codes.

A: Check the condition of the rear antenna to ensure it has not been damaged, bent, or moved.
Also, check the condition of the antenna cable leading to the front of the vehicle as well as the
connection of the antenna cable to the receiver. If the sensor diagnostic trouble codes continue
to show up, please contact your local SmarTire

product representative.

If a cluster of tire sensors continues to issue sensor diagnostic trouble codes, the cause is most
likely a malfunctioning rear antenna or antenna cable as described above since it would be
responsible for receiving tire sensors on the entire rear section of the vehicle.

Check for above mentioned physical damage and verify the receiver programming using the
SmarTire

Diagnostics Software. In addition, check the following connections in more detail if no

external damage can be found:
