SCALE TYPE = HOPPER

The preact value for a weigh hopper scale must vary with the batch size (hopper level). Concrete batching

systems batch size may vary from a fraction to multiple cubic yards or meters. The CB-2 “PREACT WEIGHT

BAND” parameter equals the calibrated scale capacity / 10. Example: 10,000 lb calibrated scale capacity / 10 =

1000. The CB-2 will associate preact values 1 thru 10 with scale target values
0-1000 lb., 9001-10000 lb. The lowest hopper level (smallest batch size) will be associated with the longest

“material in flight” time requiring the largest preact value. The following example represents the association

between preact weight band and possible preact levels.
PREACT WEIGHT BAND = 1000 (10,000 calibrated scale capacity / 10)

The preact level values will have to be determined for each material. Mix designs structured with one material

only containing target values ranging from low to high ran automatically with jogging turned off will determine

the preact level values. The amount over the target value should be entered for the appropriate preact level.
