How to Prepare to be Polled
In order to let other stations poll your machine, you must set your machine with a
document on the ADF. Be sure to set the polling password (see page 65) before setting
the document on the ADF. After being polled, your machine will automatically return
to the preset setting.

Place a document face down on the ADF.
