12.2 Air Velocity Probe
This is a solid state omni-directional air flow
sensor with integrated electronics to provide
power and signal to the sensing element, resulting
in a voltage output relative to air velocity. The
sensor operation is based on the “Hot Wire”
principle.
The sensor is provided with a protective cap that
should be removed by unscrewing it from the
main body of the sensor before use. The
protective cap should be replaced when the sensor
is not in use to prevent damage to the sensor
element.
Care should be taken not to expose the sensor to
corrosive and other harmful gases. Corrosion
proof versions are available.
