12.7 CO Gas Detector

The CO gas detector has been designed to provide continuous pollution
monitoring. The sensor uses electrolytic fuel cells which have a typical life
expectancy of 2 to 3 years, depending on the working conditions (temperature,
humidity, etc.).

The sensor is designed to detect
the specific gas with a minimum
concentration of 0.1 ppm. For
applications where the gas is
anticipated in any appreciable
quantity, this level of detection is
sufficient.

For ambient gas detection at a
distance from the source, a gas
analyser may be required which
has the capability to measure
down to levels of 1 ppb.

The standard detector is housed
within a Polycarbonate Housing
and can be mounted on the hub
support arms with spring clips.
The units must be installed in
non-classified areas.
