3.30 Registration
The Registration option allows you to store driver information in the CARS database. This
information can be entered before the race is run and is not cleared when the event is finished, but is
stored for use in future events. Drivers must be registered into the registration file before they can be
entered into races with the Entry option.
To register a driver, select the registration option and CARS will prompt you for the drivers’ category
as shown in Section 3.3.
Enter the number of the category that you want to register the driver into. CARS will display a menu
similar to the following:
If the driver has already been registered in this category, use the “Select Vehicle” or “Select Driver”
option to retrieve the information for the driver.
With the select vehicle option, a partial vehicle number or blank can be entered to obtain a list of
vehicles that have been registered in the category. A blank displays a complete list, a partial number
displays vehicle starting with the numbers entered.
This registration information can be changed and resaved as described below. If this is a new driver,
select the “Add New” option to register them. If the driver has been entered in a different category,
select “Add New,” and then use the copy option described below to copy the driver’s registration
information from another category.
If a vehicle number or drivers’ name is entered and they have not been previously registered, CARS
displays the following red warning message:
After one of these options is chosen, the following registration menu appears. This menu can be
updated using the keyboard. The cursor keys and return key move between items.
Fill in the information about the driver and press <CTRL><ENTER> to save the information.
