Select BYE if a driver is to be replaced with a “BYE,” otherwise select “Select Vehicle” at which
point the following prompt appears:
Enter the vehicle number that will replace the current vehicle on the selected line. After the first
round of eliminations, only vehicles that were in the previous round will be allowed in the current
round. Press <ENTER> to save your changes. Press <ESC> to abort the change process.
3.39 Bump Driver
The Bump Driver option can be used to take a driver out of the field of drivers used to create pairings
for elimination rounds. To bump a driver, select this option, and then choose the driver’s category
from the category screen. The following will appear:
Enter the vehicle number of the driver to be bumped. CARS will respond with the following red
warning message:
If “Y” is entered, the program takes the selected driver out of the pairings list and asks for the number
of the vehicle that will replace the bumped vehicle. An alternate driver may also be inserted using the
Edit Pairings menu selection (See Section 3.38).
If for some reason, the bumped driver needs to be entered back into the pairing list, this option is used
again and the bumped vehicle number is re-entered.
Answering “yes” to this prompt will put the selected driver back in the list for forming elimination
round pairings.
3.40 Print
This option can be used to obtain a variety of printouts as listed below. To choose a print option,
move the scroll bar to the desired option and press <ENTER>. A sample printout for each of the
options is shown in Appendix A.
Ent y List r
The “Entry List” option provides a printout of all of the competitors entered into the current event
in the selected category. Upon choosing this option, the “Select Category” menu is displayed.
