VERSION 5.01

-

Added the vehicle owner’s name to the round losers printout since it was suggested that at
some tracks the owner signs for the payout, not the driver. Both names will appear on the
printout so that either one can sign for the payout.

Removed the words “EVENT SPONSORS:” from the print headers so that if no sponsors
were being used, there would only be an empty line on the header.

CARS will now check if a vehicle has lost in a previous round when running bracket
racing(ladder round = 8). If the vehicle lost and is trying to race again, CARS will send the
message “* LOST PREVIOUSLY *” to the timer in place of the driver name so the timer
operator can be alerted of the situation.

Bug Fix on C33 or C44 communication with CARS: Related to the “Lost Previously”
enhancement that was added in version 5.03.

Bug Fix on category printout. Increased the size of pbuf to avoid buffer overruns.

Bug Fix on vehicle list printout concerning vehicle numbers starting in zeros or letters.

Bug Fix in “Closest to Dial-In” list that allows other tasks to operate while operator is
viewing the list.


VERSION 5.1

Enhancements

-

CARS will now print a 128-car ladder. The ladder is printed on two consecutive pages,
which can be taped together for display.

The utilities menu option “Closest to Dial-In” now shows the run number as well as ET and
Dial-In information. In addition, an asterisk”*” is displayed next to the number of vehicles
that have already received a “BYE”.
