Installing the firewall
WARNING!
Keep the tamper-proof seal on a mounting screw on the chassis cover intact, and if you want to open the
chassis, contact the local agent of H3C for permission. Otherwise, H3C shall not be liable for any
consequence caused thereby.

Mounting the firewall on a workbench
If a standard 19-inch rack is not available, you can place the firewall on a clean, flat workbench, as
follows:
Install the firewall
Mount the firewall to a
19-inch rack
Mount the firewall on a
workbench
Ground the firewall
Install a power
module
Connect Ethernet
cables
Connect a power
cord
Power on the firewall
Operating
properly?
Yes
End
No Power off the firewall
Troubleshoot the
