Archiving Sequences on Tape
The Play to Tape feature records one story at a time, though you can also record
stories in groups.
To archive a group of stories, create a playlist with the selected sequences and
then record the playlist to tape. It is a good idea to load a clip of black (or a
countdown) for approximately 5 seconds in between each sequence. You can
record a clip of black and keep it in your MISC folder in your Bin.
To archive your sequences to tape:
1. Create a playlist using the sequences you want to archive.
See “Creating a Playback List” on page 251 for instructions.
2. Press Record on your tape deck.
3. Press the Play button in the Playback Channel window.
TIP—You can play through all sequences by pressing Ctrl + Shift on
the keyboard and simultaneously clicking the Play button on the
screen, which continuously loops the entire playlist. Turn Loop
Playback off and Cue Next After Playback on to use this feature.
