To remove the tape drive from the autoloader:

Remove the tape drive cover plate—Locate the tape drive cover plate at the
back of the autoloader (see
).

Using a #1 Phillips screwdriver, remove the four screws securing the
cover plate (see
).

Remove the cover plate and set it and screws aside. Use the small flat
blade screwdriver to gently pry the cover off, if necessary.
Note:
The figures show the autoloader with a full height tape drive installed.
Follow the same steps for a half height configuration.

Disconnect the cables—Disconnect the power cable, SCSI cable, and serial
cable from the tape drive (see
