MIB-II Notes

System Group

Three fields in the MIB-II system group are

writable. Those fields are: sysContact,

sysName, and sysLocation. It is

important that these values be preserved in

case the 6710 Access Point is powered (off

and on) or rebooted. The following lists the

number of characters for each field that will

be preserved in the event of a power (off and

on) or reboot.

Interfaces Group The ifTable.ifAdminStatus object is

read-write accessible. However, this

functionality has not been enabled.

IP Forwarding

IP Forwarding is disabled for this release of

the 6710 Access Point. Therefore, the

MIB-II ipForwarding object is not

changeable.

MIB Directory

The following pages describe the various groups the 6710

Access Point supports. Table G-3 lists groups, their

meaning, and page numbers where each group’s table

summary and definitions appear.
