Basic Fax Operations

the slower communication speed is applied.

Batch processing is not available when Group Dial, Program Dial, Timer

Transmission or Communication Function is registered by using One Touch
Dial or Speed Dial as a Combination Dial.

For any registered Dial No., when it is changed or deleted, it will delete from the

registration of Transmission (Calling) Stand-by job and "Program" key.

An error occurs and transmission becomes impossible when combined numbers

are registered to the Combination Dial or when the total number of digits in a
fax number exceeds 30.

If you use the combination dial, inputting SUB or SUB registers in One-touch

dial or Speed Dial will not be valid.

Using the Phone Book Function

Overview of Phone Book function
Phone Book is a list of locations you have programmed for One Touch Dial and Speed Dial.

This function offers you a directory list for locating a destination by yourself or by machine
(Search) for transmission of a document to that party.

To use the Phone Book, you must first program the fax numbers and other data for the destinations
to which you will transmit a document by One Touch Dial or Speed Dial.

Up to 27 different numbers can be registered for One Touch Dial and up to 100 for Speed Dial.

Phone Book (List)

Place the document into the Document Feeding Tray.

Check that the Fax screen is shown. If not press the "Copy/Fax" key to display the
fax screen.

Press the "Phone Book" key.

Make sure that “LIST” is selected

Then press the "Yes" key.

Press the “Up” or “Down” key to search.for the party to whom you are going to
transmit a document.

Once the desired destination is displayed press the "Start" key.

The machine starts dialing the fax number

Then it feeds the document.

Press the "Stop" key if you want to stop the transmission.
