5 - 8 Function Utilities
Timer TX
Timer TX lets the machine scan the document into memory and transmit it to a destination at a
specified time. This feature enables the transmission of a document at some times when special
telephone discount rates maybe applicable. This can contribute to reductions in communication
costs.
The timer can be set up to 24 hours in advance.
Using Timer TX Function

Place the original document into the Document Feeding Tray.

Press the "Function" key.

Press ‘2’ of the Keypad to select TIMER TX.

From the Keypad, enter the time (24-hour system) at which to transmit the document.
Example: 11:30 p.m.
→Press 2, 3, 3, 0.

Press the "Yes" key if it is correctly selected.

Press the "No/Clear" key if you want to change it.

Specify the receiving destination to which you want to transmit the document by Timer TX.
For how to specify the destination. Refer to “Dialing the Number (Transmitting the
Document)” on page 3-6.

When the receiving destination has been specified, the document placed on the Document
Feeding Tray is fed in and the machine starts scanning it into memory.

After scanning the document, the machine shows the initial screen on the Message
Display and entering the standby state for Timer TX.
•
When the setting time arrives, the machine automatically transmits the document to the
specified destination(s).
