Differential nonlinearity in a DAC is a measure of deviation of code
width from 1 LSB. For a DAC, code width is the difference between the
analog values produced by consecutive digital codes. A specification of
±0.5 LSB differential nonlinearity ensure that the code width is always
greater than 0.5 LSB (guaranteeing monotonicity) and less than 1.5
LSB.
