Optional Features For Transmission

Sending At A Specific Time
(Send Later)

This feature is called Send Later.
Using this feature, you can delay
transmission of your fax message un-
til a specified time. This allows you to
take advantage of off-peak telephone
line charges without having to be by
the machine at the time.

Note

❒ If your machine's memory is full,

you will have to send the message
from the document feeder. This
means that anybody removing
your document would automati-
cally cancel the operation.

Proceed as for a usual fax message
but don't press the

Printing The Page Number
(Page Count)

This feature is called Page Count.
When your fax message is printed at
the other end, page numbers will be
printed on the top of each page. Using
the Page Count feature, you can select
the batch-numbering page numbers.
If you use Page Count, page numbers
will be printed in batch-numbering
format (for example, p1/3, p2/3, and
p3/3 for a three-page message). This
makes it easy for the other party to
see how many pages you sent, and if
any are missing. However, you have
to input the number of pages at the
ten key pad before sending.
If you do not use Page Count, page
numbers will be printed only as a se-
quence (for example, p1, p2, p3). This
makes it difficult for the other party
to tell at a glance whether any pages
