How to Change the NVP

If you are on the NEW CUSTOM CABLE screen, tap
the NVP panel, then go to step 4 below.

To enter a specified NVP value

On the home screen, tap the test setup panel, tap a copper
test, then tap EDIT.

On the TEST SETUP screen, make sure that the Cable Type is
correct.

Under the Cable Type, tap NVP.

On the NVP screen, use

to change the NVP value.

Tap DONE, then tap SAVE.

How to Find a Cable's Actual NVP

To find a cable's actual NVP, you can use the NVP screen to adjust
the measured length to match a known length of cable. The NVP
value applies to the selected cable type.

To find a cable's NVP

Attach a channel adapter to the tester.

Connect a known length of twisted pair cable to the tester.
The cable must be a minimum of 30 m (100 ft) long.
