Example 10: Muting and unmuting an output

In the following example, several switcher outputs are muted and unmuted. The

steps show the front panel indications that result from your action.

Clear all selections

: Press and release the Esc button.

Press and release the Esc button.

The button flashes once.

Select video and audio, video only, or audio only

: If necessary, press and

release the Video button and/or Audio button.

to toggle on and off.

The button lights red
when selected, is unlit
when deselected.

Press the Video button
to toggle on and off.

The button lights green
when selected, is unlit

Until you select an input, the buttons for all untied outputs light the appropriate color:

• Green

if video is selected in step 2.

• Red

if audio is selected in step 2.

NOTE

Video Outputs buttons 7 through 12

can only light green because audio
cannot be tied to the low resolution
video outputs.

Press the View button.

The button lights red.

Output mutes are protected when front panel

Lock mode 2 is selected. You

can view the mutes in

Lock mode 2 but you cannot change them from the front

panel. See “Setting the front panel Locks (

Executive modes)” on page 3-44.

If front panel

Lock mode 2 is selected and you try to perform steps 4 and 5, the

actions are ignored.
