4.6. COMPLETING SCALE CONSTRUCTION CONTINUED
7. Place shoring between the main girders at
intervals not to exceed three feet (3').
─ The wood shoring cross pieces should
be 4” x 4” or 2” x 6”, installed within the
girder flange.
─ The top of the 4” x 4” or 2” x 6” should
be near to the height of the top of the
girder.
─ The 4” x 4” or 2” x 6” must be supported
by a brace at each end wedged against
the lower flange of the girder.
