5.6 Cooling Fan Replacement
To replace a cooling fan, please follow the instructions below.
CAUTION:
Carefully note the direction and orientation of the existing cooling fan prior to
replacement.

Turn off and disconnect the workstation from all power sources.
Remove the workstation from the rack in which it is installed.
Open the top cover of the RPC-6010G rackmount workstation.
(See Section 4.5.1)
Remove the CPU card clamp. (See Section 4.5.2)
Remove the dual CPU card clamp and drive bay stabilizer bracket. (See
Section 4.5.3)
Disconnect and remove all CPU cards and PCI/ISA expansion cards.
Disconnect the cooling fan from the PSU.
Remove the two external retention screws that secure the cooling fan bracket to
the left side panel of the workstation. (See Figure 5-4)
