The General Status Code appears as the first character in a Return Code string received as a result
of performing a STATUS command. In the case of the PURGE and TEST DISPENSE commands
it is the only character returned. Use the table that follows to find the meaning of a General Status
Code. In order to use the table, follow these steps:

1.) Read the General Status Code character in the Return Code on the LCD Display. This will be a

single character in the case of a PURGE or TEST DISPENSE command. For STATUS com-
mands (FEED CHANNEL 1-4, REJECT CHANNEL, or TRANSPORT CHANNEL), the Gen-
eral Status Code is the first character in the Return Code string.

2.) Refer to the General Status Codes table. Move down the Codes column of the table to find the

line that contains the General Status Code obtained in Step 1.

3.) Move along this line to the next column and read the description of the General Status Code

located in Step 2.

4.) Move along the line to the column for the applicable test: PURGE, TEST DIS PENSE, or

STATUS. If there is a ‘G’ in the box, the status code is a ‘GENERAL’ status condition that is
applicable to all of the components of the dispensing mechanism except the ‘HOPPER’ areas
(Note Cassette Feed Channels (1-4), the Reject Channel, and the Trans port Channel are each
considered to be a HOPPER). If there is a ‘G/H’ in the box, the status code is a condition
applicable to the GENERAL parts of the mechanism as well as the HOPPER.

5.) The next column shows the TYPE of error, where ‘F” = Failure, ‘O’ = Operator Recoverable,

‘W’ = Warning, , ‘R’ = Retriable, and ‘’S’ = Software Recoverable. ‘F’ and ‘R’ codes that
occur more than once will cause the Cash Dispenser to go ‘OUT OF SERVICE’. ‘‘S’ codes
may be cleared automatically by the terminal software, while ‘O’ codes may require operator
intervention (such as a RESET) in order to clear. ‘W’ codes provide informational status only.

6.) The ERROR CODE corresponding to the General Status Code is found in the last column.

S = General Status Code.
A = Double Detect Sensor ‘A’ Offset.
a = Double Detect Sensor ‘A’ Gain.
B = Double Detect Sensor ‘A’ Offset.
b = Double Detect Sensor ‘A’ Gain.
C = Currency Code.

D = Denomination Code.
H = Horizontal Size of Note.
N = Sensor Nominal Note Thickness Value.
T = Sensor Test Data.
U = Sensor Calibration Data.
V = Vertical Size of Note.
