1. Refer to Table 2, Note Width Settings. Search the Note Width columns in the table to find the

value that is closest to the width of the note you wish to use in the cassette. The width should
have been previously determined, as described under “Note Measurements”, above. The width
value is associated with a number in the Cassette column. This number is the adjustment setting
for the height of the note-guide assembly in the cassette. Record this setting for use in a later
step.

2. See Figure 11. Between each note-guide assembly and the side-wall of the cassette there is an

adjustment bracket. Extensions from the support assembly rest within curved guides in this
bracket.

The note-guide support assemblies can be moved up or down within the adjustment bracket, to
accommodate currencies of various widths (because the width dimension of the note affects the
height of the currency bundle in the cassette, it is necessary to adjust the height of the note-
guide assemblies accordingly). Although each guide-rail is adjusted individually, both rails are
adjusted to the same setting.

A single screw secures the bracket to the bottom of the cassette, as shown in Figure 12. Note
that a ruler scale is embossed into the floor; a pointer on the bottom edge of the adjustment
bracket points to the current width setting, as shown in Figure 13. In the next step, you will
loosen the adjustment bracket screw to allow the bracket to be moved to the proper width
setting for the note, as determined in Step 1 of this procedure.
