EXPLORING THE RUGGEDREADER FROM THE
DESKTOP COMPUTER
You can explore and manipulate files on the RuggedReader from the
desktop computer using ActiveSync. To explore the RuggedReader, follow
these steps:
1. Connect the RuggedReader to the
desktop and re-establish an
ActiveSync Guest connection or
partnership.
Once connected, the Rugged
Reader acts like a new drive called “Mobile Device” on the desktop
computer.
2. To access the new “Mobile Device”
drive (RuggedReader) from the
desktop computer, click Tools >
Explore Device in the ActiveSync
window on your desktop computer.
A list of folders appears, similar to
File Explorer.
Double-click on My Windows-Mobile Based Device to
see the folders on your RuggedReader.
From the list of folders, you can cut, copy, rename,
and delete files, and you can transfer files to the
desktop computer. See the following page for details.
