Performing Common Administrative Tasks

To power off the server blade (immediately or otherwise) using the CLI, enter:

POWEROFF BAY <bay number> {[ , | - ] <bay number>} {FORCE}

IMPORTANT: If the FORCE argument is invoked, the server blade powers down
immediately and could lose data or become unstable.

Identifying a Server Blade Using the Unit Identification LED

IMPORTANT: This task can only be performed for a given server blade bay by enclosure
administrators and group administrators with access rights to the server blade bay.

The virtual button for the Unit Identification LED of the server blade physically
changes the state of the Unit Identification LED on the front panel of the server blade
from off to on, or vice-versa. The Unit Identification LED illuminates bright blue and
is designed to help a technician quickly identify a specific server blade in the data
center.

To change the state of a Unit Identification LED of for a server blade using the
Web-based user interface:

1. Click the Bays tab.

2. Click Bay List in the left panel.

3. Click the server blade whose Unit Identification LED you wish to toggle.

4. Click Virtual Buttons at the bottom of the screen.
