Firmware Update

Updates the firmware on the ServerNet wide area network (SWAN) concentrator communications
line interface processor (CLIP).

Optional Parameter: File Name of the firmware file.

There is no SWAN Fast Firmware Update guided procedure in OSM because you can use the

Multi-Resource Actions

to stop, update, and restart any or all SWAN CLIPs on your system

simultaneously.

Start

Starts the SWAN CLIP. When the Start action completes, the SWAN CLIP is in the Started state.

In a multisystem configuration, this action also causes the current system to take control of the CLIP.
If the CLIP is currently controlled by another system, that system loses control of the CLIP.

Stop

Terminates operation of the SWAN CLIP. When the Stop action completes, the SWAN CLIP is in
the Stopped state.

Test Backup Path Access

Tests two-way access to the communications line interface processor (CLIP) using the alternate
address.

Test Basic Online

Runs an online test to determine if the CLIP is functional, and checks that both the access paths are
available.

Test Full Path Access

Tests two-way access to the communications line interface processor (CLIP) using both the primary
and alternate addresses.

Test Primary Path Access

Tests two-way access to the communications line interface processor (CLIP) using the primary
address
