Error

Make sure that the problem is not being caused by the
computer or Ethernet hardware or software, and restart the
computer. Restarting the Remote Web Console computer
does not affect XP Continuous Access Journal operations in
progress.

Make sure that all XP Continuous Access Journal requirements
and restrictions are met. See

“Preparing for XP Continuous

Access Journal Operations” (page 43)

.

Make sure that the primary storage system, secondary
storage system, and remote copy connections are powered
on, and NVS and cache are fully operational.

Check all the entered values and parameters to make sure
that you entered the correct information on the Remote Web
Console computer (for example, secondary storage system
S/N, path parameters, primary data volume IDs, and
secondary data volume IDs).

If you are using Performance Monitor, refrain from using it.

The Remote Web Console computer hangs,
or XP Continuous Access Journal operations
do not function properly.

Call HP technical support for assistance.

An initiator channel-enable LED indicator (on
the control window) is off or flashing.

Check whether you selected the correct items or options in
the XP Continuous Access Journal windows, such as the DKC
Operation window, Pair Operation window, and Display
Filter window.

Status of pairs and/or logical paths is not
displayed correctly.

Remove the error cause, and then retry the XP Continuous
Access Journal operation.

an XP Continuous Access Journal error
message appears on the Remote Web
Console computer.

Check the path status in the DKC Status window, and see

The status of a logical path is not normal.
