Device Serial Num Property

Length: 0 – 15 bytes

Set Property: Yes (Once only)
Default Value: ASCII device serial number set when the reader is configured.
Description: The value is an ASCII string that represents the reader serial number. This
string can be 0 – 15 bytes long. The value of this property, if any, will be sent
to the host in the device serial number field of the USB input report when a
card is swiped. This is explained in the card data section of this document.
This property may be Set once only. Attempts to Set the property again will
fail with RC = 0x07 (Sequence Error).
This property is stored in non-volatile memory, so it will persist when the unit
is power cycled. When this property is changed, the unit must be reset (see
Command Number 2) or power cycled to have these changes take effect. This
reader must be unplugged for at least 30 seconds to properly power cycle it.

Description: This is a maximum 7-byte read only property that identifies the MagneSafe
Feature Level supported on this reader. Attempts to set this property will fail
with RC=01.
