Property ID:

0x53

Property Type:

Byte

Length:

1 byte

Get Property:

Yes

Set Property:

Yes

Default Value:

0x0C (12ms)

Description:

This property is only used by the BulleT KB interface. This property controls
the delay inserted between each key report sent to the Bluetooth module. This
delay can be adjusted between 0 and 250 milliseconds. If this delay is too
small, characters will get dropped from the card data. The larger this delay is
made, the longer it will take the card data to get transferred to the host.

A delay of 12ms (0x0C) was observed to work reliably with a Windows XP
and a Windows 7 PC using an IOGear GB421 USB Bluetooth Adapter.

A delay of 12ms (0x0C) was observed to work reliably with an iPhone, an
iPad 2 and a MacBook Pro, OS X 10.6.8.

A delay of 35ms (0x23) was observed to work reliably with a Samsung
Galaxy Nexus with Android version 4.0.2.

A delay of 50ms (0x32) was observed to work reliably with a Motorola tablet
with Android version 3.2.1.

This property is stored in non-volatile memory, so it will persist when the unit
is power cycled. When this property is changed, the unit must be reset (see
Command Number 2) or power cycled to have these changes take effect.
