The drive controller contains electrostatically sensitive components.
The personnel must be free of electrostatic charge when carrying out assembly
and service operations.
5.1 Installation according to EMC (installation of a CE−typical drive system)
ƒ Always separate motor cables from mains cables and control cables.
ƒ Cross the motor cable at right angles with mains cables and control cables.
ƒ Ideally the motor cable should be installed without interruptions.
ƒ Connect all components (controller, choke) to a central earthing point (PE rail).
ƒ Always connect the shields to the mounting plate with a contact surface as large as
possible or use the shield connections on the device side.
ƒ Always connect the motor cable shield to both sides − to the controller and to the
motor.
ƒ The cables of the analog and digital inputs and outputs must be shielded. Short
(up to 200 mm), unshielded cables must always be twisted.
ƒ The shield connections of the control cables must have a distance of at least 50 mm
to the shield connections of the motor and DC cables.
ƒ Digital cables require a double−sided shield connection.
ƒ Analog cables require a single−sided shield connection on the inverter side.
