The open-collector output circuit is a current-sinking type rated at 30 VDC and 40 mA

maximum. A power supply (30 VDC max.) must be used to power the open-collector

outputs. The standard drive does not have a power supply (a 24 VDC power supply is

optional when the drive is equipped with the Bypass option).
NOTE:

On models above 30 HP @ 240 Vac and 60 HP @ 480 Vac & 590 Vac, this

parameter also controls a second FORM C relay at TB-19, 20, and 21.

53

TB15/RELAY #3

This parameter sets the open-collector output indication for terminal TB-15. It has the

same functionality as Parameter 52 - TB14/RELAY #2 above.
NOTE:

When the drive is equipped with the Bypass option, Parameters 52 and 53

control Relay #2 and Relay #3 respectively. When the drive is equipped

with the Option Box, Parameter 52 controls Relay #2. Refer to Appendix A

and B.

54

RELAY #1

On models rated up to 30 Hp @ 240 Vac and 60 Hp @ 480 Vac & 590 Vac, there is one

FORM C relay at TB-16, 17, and 18 that can be programmed for the same indications

as the open-collector outputs described above. Larger models also have a second relay

at TB-19, 20, and 21 controlled by Parameter 52 - TB-14/RELAY#2 (this additonal relay

is optional on the smaller models).
The FORM C relay contacts are rated 2 Amps at 28 VDC or 120 Vac. Control wiring

diagrams show relays in the rest state (coils NOT energized).
55

TB5B LOSS (LOSS OF FOLLOWER ACTION)

This parameter selects the action taken by the drive if the 4-20 mA follower signal is lost

at TB-5B. The 4-20 mA signal is considered lost if it falls below 2 mA.
FAULT

The drive will trip into a FLWR/SER fault condition.

PRESET #3

The drive will operate at PRESET #3 (Parameter 3).

56

SERIAL LOSS (LOSS OF SERIAL LINK ACTION)

This parameter selects the action taken by the drive if the serial link is lost. The serial

link is considered lost if there is no serial activity for 10 seconds.
FAULT

The drive will trip into a FLWR/SER fault condition.

AUTO

The drive will operate according to the speed reference defined by

Parameter 24 - AUTO SOURCE.
