Chapter Objectives Chapter 8 provides information about the adapter’s LEDs and basic
troubleshooting procedures. In this chapter, you will read about the

• Locating the LEDs.
• Using the LEDs to troubleshoot the adapter.
LEDs on the Enhanced DeviceNet
Adapter Your communications adapter has three LED status indicators. The
LEDs provide status information about the DeviceNet network,
SCANport connection, and the adapter itself. Refer to Figure 8.1.
