What You Need To Do

This chapter covers:

Verify power supply is adequate on page 2-2

Attach and lock the module. on page 2-2

Mount the I/O bank. on page 2-3

Wire the module. on page 2-4

Configure the module on page 2-5

Start the system. on page 2-6

Monitor the module status. on page 2-6

Ensure that your power supply has sufficient current output to
support your system configuration. The modules maximum current
draw is shown below.

a. Check that the bus lever of the module to be installed is in the

unlocked (fully right) position.

b. Use the upper and lower tongue-and-groove slots to secure the

modules together (or to a controller).

c. Move the module back along the tongue-and-groove slots until

the bus connectors line up with each other.

d. Push the bus lever back slightly to clear the positioning tab. Use

your fingers or a small screwdriver.
