Once You Have Completed the Installation
Once you have installed the card and drivers, you can do the following:
Register the EDS File
1. To obtain the EDS file, do one of the following:
• on the 1784-PKTCS Driver CD supplied with your card, browse to:
\EDS Files\0001000C00700400.eds
• download from http://www.ab.com/networks/eds/0001000C00700400.eds
2. Use the EDS wizard in either RSLinx or RSNetWorx for ControlNet software to
register the EDS file for the 1784-PKTCS card
• In Windows, select Start ⇒Programs ⇒Rockwell Software ⇒RSLinx Tools
⇒EDS Hardware Installation Tool.
• In RSNetWorx for ControlNet, select Tools ⇒EDS Wizard.
